Changing 'Hey Siri' Voice Activation Command

Is it possible to change the command 'Hey Siri' to something else on my 6+?

I simply hate the name Siri and can't stand saying 'Hey Siri'. I love the new voice activation, but I won't run it if I have to call my phone Siri...

You can't change it without removing the protections on the phone, leaving it open to malware and voiding the warranty on the phone. And, depending on how it's coded and encrypted, you may also run afoul of copyright laws by changing it.

We should all give up on this conversation. Looks like we are stuck with "Hey Siri". Although, It would be fun to walk up to someones plugged in iPhone and say "hey siri, text my wife. I want a divorce b*&ch!" lol If you've noticed, you don't have to say "Hey siri" and wait for siri to activate. You can just say "hey siri (and any command)" in one sentence and it does it. Of course, the person would have to be away from their phone and the phone would probably have to be unlocked.

granted this discussion is dated, I have just discovered it with the same need. Its unfortunate there is no resolve.

As I am a newb to the board, I do find however your sarcastic remarks very unprofessional. If you are employed by Apple, I would be the first to recommend that your attitude towards customer inquiries whom are obviously devoted to the product and brand, be either corrected or you find another job that you're passionate about.

As has been pointed out at least once in this thread, no employees of Apple have posted here. As long as I stay within the terms of use of these forums, I am free to post as I deem appropriate. You have the same privilege. If, for you, that involves resurrecting old threads apparently for the sole purpose of criticizing people, well, I suppose everyone needs a hobby.

Best of luck.

I believe that if one wants to be able to use “Hey Siri” voice activation on more then one device and not have it activate both, one method would be that they could simply change the language, learn a new word and pronunciation to not have that issue.

Also as a side note, in defense of the innocent, I believe Idris has acted responsibly and patiently.

I Know this is an old post but this made me laugh. If I have both an iPad & an iPhone (which I do hence finding this thread) then both would be programmed with my voice. How am I supposed to program one of them with a different voice?

therefo if Apple expects to sell multiple devices to individuals then they need to make a way for us to be able to use their features in such an environment.
